Volunteer Opportunities

United Way Day of Caring Arkansas Street

Northwest Arkansas Head Start and Early Head Start is a federal grant funded, 501c3 non-profit program that requires a 20% community match (called in-kind or non-federal share). The in-kind or non-federal share is primarily raised through volunteer time, donation of equipment and supplies, and donated space.

A Head Start and Early Head Start organization cannot exist without the devotion, commitment and vision of our volunteers. Take your love of children to Northwest Arkansas Head Start and Early Head Start through our broad spectrum of available volunteer opportunities. Volunteer leadership is vital to the success of the Head Start and Early Head Start program. Our volunteers are key instruments in implementing the Head Start Performance Standards, and we appreciate your time and contributions. We invite and encourage your input, and welcome suggestions for additional content at any time.

NWAHS maintains a list of available volunteer job descriptions which are just suggestions. All volunteers are encouraged to investigate opportunities within the agency at any time, and we invite your ideas for new work opportunities.
