Head Start and Early Head Start is a national program that promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social, and other services to enrolled children and families. Our mission to accomplish this goal locally is “Northwest Arkansas Head Start uses a team approach to enable pregnant women, children, families, and staff to reach their highest potential from now through lifelong success by offering high-quality support, community resources, education, health, and a safe equitable environment.”
Get to Know Us
Northwest Arkansas Head Start and Early Head Start is a not-for-profit program promoting school readiness to families of low income. Head Start and Early Head Start programs support the mental, social, and emotional development of children from birth to 5. Services are provided in Benton, Carroll, and Madison Counties. There are local sites in Bentonville, Gentry, Green Forest, Rogers, and Siloam Springs.
