Head Start and Early Head Start is a national program that promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families. Our mission to accomplish this goal locally is to "enable children and their families to realize the opportunities for developing their full potential".

Our staff is committed to developing quality programs and engaging parents in their children's learning. We do this by helping them identify and progress toward their educational, literacy and employment goals.

What is Head Start and Early Head Start?

Northwest Arkansas Head Start and Early Head Start is a non-profit pre-school program, serving 226 children in Head Start and 96 children in Early Head Start and their families. We provide services to the tri-county area in Benton, Carroll and Madison Counties. There are 8 local sites; Bentonville, Gentry, Green Forest, Huntsville,Pea Ridge, Rogers Hallie Martin, Rogers Arkansas Street, Siloam Springs Adair. With the 8 centers there are a total of 24 classrooms. Head Start and Ealry Head Start is a commitment to America’s children.
